MATTRESS MATERIALS

Pocket Spring System
In the case of a pocket or packaged spring system, each mattress spring is individually wrapped in a fabric pocket. Thanks to packaged springs, your body receives support in the right and necessary places when lying down; the entire mattress surface doesn’t respond to body pressure, rather, only the portion of the mattress where body weight is applied is affected. This allows you to move freely without causing the entire bed surface to sway and disturb your sleeping partner next to you. Most of Slept mattresses use a 5-zone pocket spring system, in which the springs are divided into different zones according to the needs of different areas of the human body. Stronger springs support the shoulders and hips to prevent them from sinking too much into the mattress. This ensures the correct alignment of the spine throughout the sleep cycle.
Wadding.
Quilted wadding is a fluffy material that makes the mattress soft and comfortable. Wadding retains its original shape very well, allows air to pass through, and doesn’t have a strong odor.
The top layer fabric of all Slept mattresses and mattress toppers have been stitched with TENCEL™ Lyocel wadding. This cellulose-based material produced in an environmentally friendly manner has good absorption qualities and regulates body temperature.
Wool.
Wool is a warm, soft, and breathable material that absorbs moisture but doesn’t feel damp to the touch. Due to these skin-friendly properties, wool is a popular material for the top layer of mattresses, which is closest to the sleeper’s body.
If one side of your mattress is made of wool, turn the wool side up in winter—this makes the bed warmer and regulates moisture better.
Foam.
Modern foam rubber or polyurethane foam is soft, breathable, odorless, and doesn’t accumulate foreign odors. In addition, foam rubber is healthy as it’s inhabitable for dust mites. In Focus range mattresses, a more elastic and durable High-Resilience foam is used instead of regular foam. We also use visco or memory foam, which forms a supportive “shape” around the human body.
Latex.
Latex is produced from the natural sap or caoutchouc of the rubber tree. As a material, latex is soft, durable, elastic, allows air to pass through, and self-regulates its moisture content. Latex is also considered a healthy material as dust mites can’t procreate in it. The latex used in Slept mattresses are produced in Belgium and processed, washed, and dried.
Due to the traditional latex manufacturing process, the latex layer is usually perforated (punctured), ensuring excellent air circulation in products where latex is used. In recent years, latex has been produced using a method where holes are not made in the latex layer, yet it still provides excellent breathability. This type of latex layer is more durable and easily recognized by touch, offering positive competition to “conventional” latex. In the Slept collection, this material is called Pulse™ latex.
10 years of warranty. LGA (Landesgewerbeanstalt Bayern) tests prove that our products have excellent durability and elasticity. Meeting these standards means that the latexes used in Slept mattresses conform to all the eco-label requirements of the European Union.
Fabrics.
All Slept spring and top mattress covers are made of soft, skin-friendly, and breathable stretch materials. Fabrics with different functions and treatments are used. For bed bases and continental beds, you can choose from different shades of upholstery fabrics, allowing everyone to put together a bed solution that suits their bedroom.
Certificates.
All fabrics, latex, foam, springs, wadding, and wool used in Slept products carry the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certificates.
The OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 mark is a quality mark for “free from harmful substances.” Laboratory tests have confirmed that the materials we use are free from harmful substances that could endanger human health or the environment.
All latexes we use to make good sleep better are manufactured in Belgium, meet the EuroLatex Eco Standard, and have passed the LGA (Landesgewerbeanstalt Bayern) test. The EuroLatex Eco Standard ensures that the latex used in our products doesn’t contain any volatile or allergen-producing compounds. This certificate confirms that our products are safe and guarantee healthy sleep.
The wooden frames of Slept beds and the cardboard used in the packaging of all our products are made from FSC-certified wood. A product with this label comes from responsibly managed forests, where equal value is placed on natural environments, communities, and economic viability.
